Job Description
Position Objective:

The Program Manager’s main focus is to ensure the delivery of profitable, quality service to the client. The primary objective is technical direction and implementation of the programs and services, leading the team of engineers and technicians to deliver high quality and comprehensive condition monitoring and analysis results. This role is accountable for daily hands on analysis and reporting on the vibration data and other condition monitoring data as the lead vibration analyst.





Position Location: Fort McMurray, AB

Relocation will be covered by our Client:



Key Accountabilities:

Perform a high volume of daily analysis and reporting.

Manage and supervise services under the existing Condition Monitoring Program contract on a continuing and renewed basis.

Ensure services and reporting delivery on time, within established budget and adherence to actual project plans.

Supervise assigned staff, engineers and technicians performing the service-related duties and documentation; develop staff goals and priorities.

Manage overall quality of project work ensuring that customer satisfaction targets are met or exceeded.

Look for and promote opportunities to expand the services and offering.



Detailed Responsibilities:

Oversee complex projects and services which require the expert application of advanced engineering knowledge in the field of Condition Monitoring.

Performa a high volume of daily, weekly and monthly vibration analysis and reporting.

Perform quality assurance/quality control review throughout the contract services delivery.

Supervise appropriate use of Company resources to meet the objectives of both the project and the business.

Provide accurate and detailed contract reports and updates to Management.

Evaluate, determine and report to management on the evolving needs of clients throughout a contract’s lifecycle.

Maintain accurate project and client records and information in the Company databases.

Design and develop tools to meet client requirements, schedules and resources.

Oversee the provision of technical assistance for the client.

Oversee collaboration with internal and external specialists assigned to the project and ensure work complies with contract guidelines.

Perform other engineering/technical duties as assigned by Management.

Where appropriate, work to streamline existing procedures and systems to increase overall efficiency and productivity.

Work to ensure that agreed timelines, sales, margins and customer service targets are met.

Ensure that project staff, at all stages of the project, strictly adhere to Company, client, regional, provincial and Federal employment standards and safety regulations.

Represent the Company and work with wide latitude for un-reviewed action and decisions expected from a seasoned Manager.

Effectively communicate with a diverse demographic from hourly employees to senior executives.

Display and role-model a self starter attitude with the ability to identify and gain support for improvement activities related to reliability.

Aid in customer retention efforts including but not limited to customer tracking, follow-up, and delivery of consistent exemplary service.

Complete all job related documentation in a timely manner and submit said documentation to the appropriate departments per company policies.

Provide full billing information to finance / administration according to contract time line or enter charges directly to client’s accounting systems as required.

Offer strategic advisement to the President and management team.

Handle escalated issues, diffuse problems and put forward solutions that are in the best interests of the company and client.

Provide mentorship to project staff ensuring they have the coaching and training they need to produce high quality work and further develop their skills.

Act as a professional company advocate.

Travel on an occasional basis to various locations throughout British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan and possibly the USA and further afield.

Other duties as may be required.



Skills/Experience:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferred, Eligibility for registration with APEGGA.

CMVA Certification and 5-10 years professional experience.

Five years’ experience in project or program management and project budgetary control.

Have a working knowledge and experience in machinery vibration analysis as part of a condition monitoring and reliability program to the Category 3 level as defined by ISO 10816-2, and be ready to achieve this certification through Canadian Machinery Vibration Associaton within 4 months, if not already certified with equivalent (Vibration Institute)

Have a working knowledge of other condition monitoring technologies, including oil analysis, thermography, motor current analysis and ultrasonics and their integration with vibration analysis.

Experience influencing sales and championing proactive maintenance.

Salary: $150,000 to $165,000 a year.
