Job Description
Department: Operational Planning

Reporting Structure
Manager: Plant Manager
Direct Subordinates job title: Buyer, Storekeeper, and Shipping-Recieving

Main Purpose of Role:
Sets and manages strategic Planning and customer policy incorporating all aspects of Sales and Operational Planning within manufacturing.

Provide Solid analytics and scenario modelling to support management decisions to optimize and meet financial budgets and business KPI’s

Management of the supply chain to the business.

Management of inventory with a view to reduce, and best end to end solutions.

Delivering improvement solutions for the management of net working capital (NWC)

Main Duties:

Responsible for the coordination and support of Operational Planning Activities.
Provide a service to all external and internal customers.
To manage and assist in setting budgets and business KPI’s
Facilitate accurate Sales demand data to support forecasting and planning
Manage engagement with Sales, Marketing and Product Managers to support, budget, rolling forecast process, NPI
and quotation process.
Develop, Provide and Monitor manufacturing plan which meets budgets and business KPI’s
Manage engagement with all operational facets of the business to deliver manufacturing plan to budget.
Identify talent to leverage Planning capabilities
Continuously seek improvements to Sales and Operational Planning practices through benchmarking
Ensure accurate and timely internal and external communications
To support all aspects of Lean manufacturing from education to implementation.
Integration of supplier quality to operational quality.
Ensure all suppliers have completed Supplier Self Assessments (SSA).
Monitoring supplier performance in meeting QA targets, project milestones, delivery and price (QDC).
Project support as determined with Sales and Engineering.
Conducting supplier audits and reviews, including checking of financial records.
Monthly reporting on QDC key performance indicators.
Support operational management team in strategic development, and day to day projects and requirements.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
